Call us when you noticeThese salt system signs
Hard water in the Las Vegas valley is tough on salt cells. The technician finds what failed and explains it before any repair.
Low chlorine readings
A drop in chlorine can point to a scaled cell or a failing board.
Check salt lights
A warning light can be a sign that the cell needs cleaning.
White flakes in the pool
Flakes blowing from the returns can point to calcium scale breaking off the cell.
High salt error but low salt
Conflicting readings can be a sign that the sensor is failing.
No power to the control box
A dark display can point to a blown fuse or a bad transformer.
Water leaking at the unions
Drips at the threaded connections can be a sign of worn O-rings.
From cleaning the platesTo replacing the cell
We service salt chlorine generators from major brands like Pentair, Hayward and Jandy. Our technicians check the salt level, inspect the cell for scale and test the control board.
Salt cells commonly last around 3 to 7 years depending on run time and water balance. We explain the repair cost and recommend replacement only when age, parts availability, or repeated failures make a repair poor value.
- Acid washing scaled cells
- Replacing depleted cells
- Control board repairs
- Flow switch replacement
- Fixing union leaks

Deciding between a repairAnd replacing the cell
We help you weigh the cost of parts against a complete new cell.
Repair the system

- A flow switch failed
- The cell is less than three years old
- A fuse needs replacing
Replace the cell
- The titanium plates are depleted
- The cell is over five years old
- The control board is damaged
- The housing is cracked

Common salt system questions
All QuestionsHow often should the cell be cleaned?
We inspect the salt cell every three months on salt pools. We clean it when scale is found, which is billed separately unless you are on our Full Care Plus plan.
Why does my salt cell scale up?
According to the LVVWD, the Las Vegas valley has very hard water at 280 ppm. This hard water leaves calcium scale on salt cells, which is why we inspect cells every three months.
Do you add salt during weekly service?
Routine chemicals, including chlorine, acid, and stabilizer as the readings call for it, are included on all plans. Salt top-ups are a specialty chemical billed separately.
Can you convert my pool to salt?
Yes, we can upgrade your equipment pad with a new salt system during a renovation or equipment replacement.
