- Alkalinity

Technician notes
I brushed the walls and emptied the baskets. Free chlorine and pH were both in range.
The filter pressure is up by five PSI compared to last week, so a cleaning will be due soon.
Understanding the valley'sWater chemistry needs
We test free chlorine, pH and total alkalinity during every weekly visit. Chlorine sanitizes the water, while balanced pH and alkalinity protect your plaster and equipment from corrosion.
Once a month, we test cyanuric acid and calcium hardness. Las Vegas tap water sits at a very hard 280 ppm, so tracking calcium helps us monitor scale buildup at the tile line and inside your heater.
Clear water can still carry germs, making testing more important than looks. Our technicians add routine liquid chlorine, tablets, acid and stabilizer based on the actual readings they take.

Proper care for yourSaltwater pools
Salt chlorine generators produce their own sanitizer, but they still require chemical balancing. We test the salt levels on every visit to verify the system has enough salt to function properly.
The valley’s hard water leaves calcium scale on salt cell plates. Cells commonly last around 3 to 7 years depending on run time and water balance, so we inspect them every three months and recommend a cleaning when scale builds up.
- Salt readings checked each visit
- Cell inspections every three months
- Scale monitoring for hard water

Keeping your hot tub cleanSpa maintenance
Attached spas can be added to your weekly pool route on our Full Care Plus plan. We also offer quoted maintenance for detached hot tubs, handling the testing and chemical dosing they require.
Jacuzzi recommends draining and refilling your spa every three to four months under normal use. We handle this process, along with filter care and water balancing, to keep the water fresh.

Clear boundaries on what isIncluded versus billed
We document what your weekly fee covers, keeping our pricing clear for routine care.
Included on weekly plans
Your monthly rate covers weekly water testing, skimmer emptying, and routine chemicals like chlorine and acid. The Full Care plan adds brushing, vacuuming, and water level checks.
Billed separately
Specialty chemicals, repair parts, and green pool cleanups are billed separately. Filter cleanings carry an extra fee unless you choose the Full Care Plus plan.
How you can help us withCustomer responsibilities
Our technicians need your help to work safely and efficiently on your property each week.
- Provide safe gate access on your scheduled service day.
- Secure dogs and other pets away from the pool area before our visit.
- Keep the equipment pad clear and reachable for inspections.
- Tell us about any landscaping or construction changes.
- Notify us before adding any chemicals to the water yourself.
Recovering from severeGreen pool algae blooms
When a pump fails or chemistry drops, algae blooms can happen. We assess the water and equipment, apply shock treatments, and run continuous filtration to clear the bloom.
Recovery usually requires two to four return visits for brushing and filter cleaning. We never promise a one-visit fix, as the algae must be fully filtered out before the water is balanced again.

Handling Southern Nevada'sWeather and seasonal care
From intense summer heat to freezing winter nights, our maintenance routines adapt to what the valley weather demands.
Summer heat and evaporation
The SNWA notes a typical 470-square-foot Southern Nevada pool can lose up to 22,842 gallons a year to evaporation. We check the water level every visit.
Monsoon storms
July and August bring blowing dust and heavy debris. We offer storm cleanup visits to clear baskets and rebalance the water.
Freezing nights
Las Vegas sees about ten freezing nights a year. We check freeze sensors and automation settings each November to keep water circulating.
Hard water scale
Adding water to combat evaporation raises calcium levels over time. We test calcium monthly and brush the tile line weekly to address scale.

Jordan has been running our weekly route for six months now. I really appreciate the visit report email that arrives after every cleaning because it shows a photo of the pool and lists exactly what chemicals were added.

We bought a house with a swamp in the backyard. Mei gave us a written estimate for the green pool cleanup and treated the algae over several visits. She brushed the walls and kept the filter clean until the water was clear again.

Our main pump started making a loud humming noise and stopped moving water. Luis came out to diagnose the issue and explained that the motor had failed. When we approved the replacement, the diagnostic fee was credited to the final bill.

The gas heater would not ignite. Danny inspected the control board, safely shut off the gas, and gave us a written estimate before doing any work. The diagnostic fee was fully credited to the repair.

Kingfisher does a drain, clean and refill on our detached hot tub every four months. Carla checks the spa equipment and makes sure the side gate is securely latched behind her when she leaves so our dogs are safe.

My old filter was leaking from a crack in the bottom half. Jordan explained the repair versus replacement costs and showed me why a patch would not hold. I appreciated that they recommended replacement based on the damage, not just its age.
